Creating Users
Creating New Users link arrow_upward
Users can be only be created and edited by Super users. Non-super users have read-only access to this page.
- Expand Permissions within the navigation menu, open Users page.
- Enter in the user's email address.
- Assign the user a Level, and tick Is Super if required. See user levels for detail.
- Assign the user a Role. See creating roles for detail.
- Configure Group, Account Site user permissions.
- Assign the user an Applied Pending Transaction View and Applied Transaction View. This will apply on their next refresh. See creating views for detail.
- Assign the user an Applied Glossary. This will apply on their next refresh. see creating custom glossaries for detail.
- Click Invite button to email an invitation to the user.
If the user does not receive the invitation email, click Copy Invitation Link button to share it with them by some other means e.g. internal messaging. This is the same URL from the invitation link.
Group Users link arrow_upward
Group users have access to all accounts and sites.
- Select a Group-level user.
Account Users link arrow_upward
Account users will only have access to data related to their authorised accounts.
- Select an Account-level user, double-click CHEP Account or Loscam Account and select to apply. Other suppliers can be unhidden.
- Alternatively, tabs appear at the bottom, open Authorised Accounts detail grid.
- On a new row, assign authorised accounts accordingly.
Site Users link arrow_upward
Site users will only have access to data related to their authorised site.
- Select a Site-level user, double-click Site and select to apply.
- Alternatively, tabs appear at the bottom, open Authorised Sites detail grid.
- On a new row, assign authorised sites accordingly.
User Levels link arrow_upward
- Group users can access all accounts and sites within the database.
- Account can access data relative to the accounts they are assigned to.
- Site can access data relative to the sites they are assigned to.
- Users with 'Is Super' ticked are allowed to add/remove other users with either the same-level or lower-level permissions as themselves.
- Group and 'Is Super' users are allowed to add/edit/remove reference data regardless of role.
Cloning Users link arrow_upward
- Expand Permissions within the navigation menu, open Users page.
- Unhide Clone field.
- Focus on an existing user and click Clone button.
- Enter in the user's email address.
- Click the Invite button to email an invitation to the user.
Cloning copies assigned Roles, Authorised Accounts, Authorised Sites, Views, Custom Glossaries and Import Templates.
Creating Roles link arrow_upward
Creating or customising user roles gives full control over what a certain user has permission to view, edit and add within the grids.
Users can be assigned roles, which either restrict or allow them to create, update, delete or view certain data. New organisations include four standard roles Date Entry, Operator, Supervisor, and Controller (see below table for their permissions). These roles can be modified or new roles can be created. All roles allow users to key transactions.
- Expand Permissions within the navigation menu, open Roles page.
- Data Entry, Operator, Supervisor, and Controller roles are available to choose from. Alternatively, create a new role.
- On a new row, key Name, and tabs will appear at the bottom, open Role Permissions detail grid.
- Assign permissions accordingly - see below table for explanation.
